A Korean skincare product with a cute packaging and a supporter of ‘Green Philosophy’? I'm sold! In this post is my review from a South Korean brand Tony Moly with its Egg Pore Blackhead Steam Balm! Let's get started with my review!
PRODUCT: TONY MOLY EGG PORE BLACKHEAD STEAM BALM
The product actually comes as a set below:
(1) Egg Pore Blackhead Steam Balm - claims to dissolve pore-clogging impurities with this self-heating balm
(2) Egg Pore Tightening Cooling Pack - claims to tighten the pores as a follow-up product after the balm

Tony Moly's Egg Pore Blackhead Steam Balm is a self-heating balm which eliminates pore-clogging dirt, oils to help prevent blackheads.
Can be used as to exfoliate or scrub, I apply a generous amount on my fingers and then scrub it on my face 2-3x a week. After getting the 'warmer' feeling due to its self-heating magic, I rinse my face with cool water. After exfoliation, is where the Egg Pore Tightening Cooling Pack comes in.
Personal Thoughts on Egg Pore Blackhead Steam Balm
Compared to the other exfoliating products out there, Tony Moly's Egg Pore Blackhead Steam Balm is much more gentler in the face. It doesn't have a stinging hot feeling despite its self-heating component. When I don't apply enough balm, I don't notice the notice the self-heating feeling as well but I am not bothered.
Despite the microbeads appearance of the balm, texture of the product is not as grainy as others as well. I'm not the right person to argue about microbeads so I won't talk further on that. After a month of usage, I enjoyed using the product especially that it is easy to use and rinse. There's no greasy and dry feeling afterwards either (which is a good thing).
I'm happy to report that with my skin type (combination of oily and dry skin), no purging and/or breakouts were experienced which is quite surprising since my face is quite sensitive when introducing new products.

I am totally obsessed with Korean makeup and skincare! I've almost bought this steam balm so many times, but I get worried that my sensitive skin won't like it. I really must try it!
