TJM Hot Spring Villas Location - Los Banos, Laguna

Situated in a secluded area of Lakewood Subdivision in Los Banos, Laguna, TJM Hot Spring Villas can be found easily with the use of Google Maps or through Waze. Quite a drive from the main gate of the subdivision, it is tucked away at the far end of the neighborhood which gives you the isolation, privacy, and serenity you need.

Meaning, you don't get to hear neighbors' parties and karaoke (you know, Filipinos love to sing) unless it's coming from Villa 2 but more on that later.

But the isolation has a small catch. In case you run out of essentials (food & drinks), you need to go out to the main road where the grocery stores are. So make sure to bring everything with you or just order through Grab.

Property

TJM Hot Spring Villas has two interconnecting villas. I booked Villa 1 which is the bigger among the two and it can accommodate a maximum of 35 people. Meanwhile, Villa 2 is smaller and can accommodate only a maximum of 25 people. A penthouse is found at the top but it is only for the owners and entry is not allowed. You can book either of the two or you can book both if needed. Privacy and security issues are kept in place and the interconnecting doors are securely locked if you book just one.

Noise concern? Not something you would mind. You would only hear them if the neighbors really went wild (Karaoke or not) but you would barely hear them unless you were standing at the interconnecting door in the kitchen area.

Rooms

A spacious villa enough for a maximum of 35 people, it has a total of 5 rooms. A room with a double bed is on the ground floor next to the living area while the remaining four rooms are on the second floor.

Two rooms on the second floor have multiple bunk beds (and even mattresses) but share a common bathroom outside. One room has bunk beds too but comes with a private bathroom inside the room. The last room (Suite Room), has another double bed with a private bathroom and a bathtub too.

Facilities & Common Areas

Facing the swimming pool on the ground floor is an open area serving as the living area and the dining area. The soft earth tones and a touch of wood on the furniture gave a cozy yet down-to-earth welcoming feeling.

Netflix? Check. Karaoke? Sure! Kitchen and Cooking Area? Absolutely (though I wasn't able to take photos). Griller? Yep, they got your back! Almost everything we need (and I was looking for) was already provided by the resort. They even have an electric mosquito killer! If you wish to bring an appliance though (like an air fryer), you can BUT, there will be a corkage fee on that so make sure to check it with the host in advance.

Private Swimming Pool (Natural Hot Spring)

Probably the main highlight of this villa is the decent-sized swimming pool is supplied with natural hot spring water. The rightmost side of the pool is for the kids while the utmost left is the deepest part of the pool (6 ft.). It has a proper division wall (between the two sections) and two submerged lounge chairs in the kids' area are also available for use.

At night time, the underwater changing lights are turned on and it gives a funky ambiance. There are also waterfalls and rain showers that last for an hour at your preferred time.

Staff & Service

Check-in and check-out were done similarly in most lodging properties (hotels, resorts, etc.). A dedicated team escorted us in and showed us the property. A briefing of do's and don'ts (especially with the curfew of the Karaoke) and the handover of the kitchen items (plates, utensils, pots, and pans) were also done. After that, we were left alone for us to enjoy our time.

If needed their assistance, the staff room and the team can be found outside the villa next to the main door.

TJM Hot Spring Villas Cost

I was an avid fan of Booking.com but this time I booked this villa through Airbnb. This is what I paid for a 1-night stay on its weekend rate:

I paid in UAE Dirhams but upon conversion, it is equivalent to Php 25,950++ on its weekend rate. There's a rate difference if your stay falls on a weekday date versus on a weekend date.

While the villa can accommodate a maximum of 35 people, the amount paid is the base rate for 25 people only. The succeeding number of guests (26th guest onwards) will be charged an amount of Php 950 per person.

Conclusion

Organizing a family trip feels like a daunting task to me and finding the right venue is another thing. But based on my experience with TMJ Hot Spring Villas, Mom's birthday celebration as our first family gathering, went smoothly and better than I expected.

The family loved the villa and its entirety (design, location, facilities, rooms, and even the service of the staff). I don't usually do a 'treasure hunt' on Airbnb but it's the best thing that ever happened to me for my family. If you happen to be looking for a private villa in Los Banos, Laguna, look no further!
