As an avid hiker, my common skin issue is of course, sun damage. And not only my body skin suffers - my face and lips too, even after applying SPF! So hello chapped lips and it's time for me to really focus on them. Fortunately, I got my hands on Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask (trial size) when I won a giveaway last 2019 and eventually bought the full size last 2021. If you have not heard/seen this product (which I doubt), then read my review further to know more!
Brand - Laneige:
Laneige, is another South Korean cosmetics/skincare brand under Amore Pacific who is a cosmetic conglomerate. The brand's trademark products are: water sleeping mask, BB cushion foundation and the famous two-tone lipstick. The two-tone lipstick become a huge hit after promoted by Jun Ji-Hyun, Song Hye Kyo and Lee Sung-Kyung.

Laneige's Lip Sleeping Mask is a leave-on lip mask in different flavors such as:
- Berry (pink)
- Apple Lime (Green)
- Grapefruit (Peach)
- Mint Choco (Blue Green)
- Vanilla (Yellow) - seems like a new flavor
- Violet (Grape) - I've seen it once from Laneige's Instagram but I haven't seen it from their website
Claims:
- gently melts away dead skin cells from the lips to make the lips feel smooth and elastic
- an overnight lip care product that puts the lips into the best condition for makeup the next morning

Personal Thoughts - Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask Review:
Personally, I think I have more things and reason to re-purchase this product than not. I don't have any comparison right now and I don't feel the need to purchase another brand/product right now.
What I like about this product:
With continuous usage at night until now after buying the full size, my lips really became softer. The frequent problem of chapped lips turned into a once in a blue moment instead and will only popped out after staying in the sun for too long. My lip color improved as well though not drastically and it is not a magic secret that will give you a pink lip color. However, the dark lip color from sun exposure fades quickly than expected.
I also liked the fruity scent of the lip mask and it reminds me of fruity gums and candies from childhood. Others may find the smell odd, but I don't.
What I don't like about this product:
The only thing that didn't go well with me is how sticky it was. Others say they use it as a lip balm, I just can't. Things get messy and really sticky whenever I use it as a lip balm under a lip tint and lip stick. So I stopped doing so and used it at night only.
Overall, I really loved this lip sleeping mask and super happy that I bought the full size! Even though the trial size is really small, it lasts for a long time with me. Buying the full size for an affordable price is also worth it!
